Motivation is the driving force behind achievement in every aspect of life. Sometimes we are more motivated to participate in some activities, versus others. For example, many people are not very motivated to do their taxes, this lack of motivation is based off of past experiences which tell us that it’s probably not going to be a very enjoyable task. On the other hand if I asked you if you would like a weekend stay at an all inclusive resort with the guest of your choice, you would probably be pretty highly motivated. Obviously this motivation stems from past experiences that trigger your brain to release dopamine, which is the neurotransmitter directly associated with motivation. Why am I telling you this? Because it’s all a matter of perception, through the following exercises I will show you how its possible to change how the brain responds to different tasks and stimuli. Through this shift in perception, motivation can be dramatically increased in regards to any task or aspect of your life.
